Interested in helping do good work at Persephone Farm? There are many ways you can join our team.

If you live near Lebanon, Oregon or wish to relocate to the area and work on the farm, you have two choices:

If you would like to live and work on the farm for a more varied educational experience, read our Apprenticeship description below.

If you wish to live off the farm and commute to work, Seasonal Farm Work may be for you. Read below to find out.

If you live in Salem or Portland and would like to help at our farmers' market stands, see the description below for details on Farm Stand Work.

Regardless of which option you choose to pursue, you will find that we take our work seriously and we enjoy doing it.

If you work with us in any context you will have the opportunity to taste, cook, and learn about new foods; to enjoy the season's bounty; to gain some basic knowledge of organic farming techniques; and to meet and work with interesting and fun people.

Feel free to call with questions (541-451-5640), Monday through Saturday, 8 am to 8 pm, Pacific Time.

Apprenticeships

Persephone Farm offers seasonal apprenticeships for people interested in working and living at the farm. The educational component is informal and mostly involves learning by doing and freedom to pick the brains of the farm owners and experienced employees. If you are interested in learning to grow organic, seasonal vegetables, please consider Persephone!

We generally have one or two positions that open each year beginning in April, May, or June and continuing through either November or December. In some years winter work is available. To apply, please read the following materials first for more information about our farm and the apprenticeship experience.  If you find this information compelling, please print, complete, sign, and send the application by postal service.  If you do not have access to a printer, let us know and we can send you a printed copy. Once we review your application, we will contact you regarding a farm visit.
